My name is Angela Boothroyd and I'm the person behind the Studying Online websites.
I teach English for speakers of other languages, both online and face-to-face, and I write the Studying Online lessons and blogs, and the Online English Lessons blog.
I have been teaching English for over ten years and I started the Studying Online business in 2007, in order to help learners of English improve their English language skills with professionally written online English lessons and courses.
I am a fully qualified ESOL teacher and I have an MEd in Applied Linguistics and an MA in Online and Distance Education. I'm also a qualified Net-Trainer (an online teaching qualification recognized in nine European countries).
I'm a native-English speaker living in the UK. I'm a mum to three children: two daughters aged 21 and 19, and a son aged 12.
I have always enjoyed travelling, experiencing different cultures and meeting people from all over the world, and this, and my love of language, was my inspiration to become an English language teacher.
